let's be real who ever will buy a xeon CPU won't have the budget to get RTX 45645687 or a 4k monitor like the ryzen 5000 series or above setups in my country cost around 15K Egyptian pounds as for strat without a GPU or a good case or a good SSD / m.2 while the xeon you can find a work station with 32GB ram with a good PSU with the xeon e5 2680 v2 or one like the e5 2690 v2 for around 7.5 to 10K Egyptian pounds paired with a good GPU like the RX 580 which priced around 3K EGP with a good SSD around 1.5K EGP the whole setup will cost you around 15K while the ryzen will cost you over over 33K egp because the stupid rtx 3070 priced at 18K you see the differences here someone who would buy a xeon Setup will never buy a 2k/4k monitor he will just get a 1080p 144hz if we say he has the budget for the pricey monitors especially in my country

I went from a 1070ti to a 6800xt triple fan, and I'm supper happy with the upgrade. It was a little getting-used to the AMD software, but at least AMD's software(at least the user interface) is way WAY better than Nvidia's. My next GPU will be an AMD one for sure if they keep doing just as good.

If you are using RayTracing or media encoding then you want to go with Nvidia, no questions. But for raw framer-per-dollar it is AMD.

Just a note about City Skylines 2: a 1 million population city is HUGE and takes a ton of time to ever get to that point. I've been playing the series for years and have never had a city get that big. The game actually simulates every citizen individually. They have names, relationships, addresses, daily routines, work places, etc.

I have a 6800xt from a 3060ti and it was a cheap upgrade for me only 250$ with selling the 3060ti. So it will be super close in performance with these “pro consoles” which should have close to a 7900gre in my opinion for power. But we shall see

The power supply doesn't change the Voltages your computer recieves it increases the Wattage output...so as long as it is a factory option or the proper Voltage to supply into your device it is safe to use.... it will supply the computer what it needs up to it's Max Wattage and in this case the 65 W was barely enough it seems .... Plugging in a different power supply without understanding how to read your requirements properly is the dangerous part of changing parts....and that is when things smoke or blow up... 🇨🇦🤓🤟

super fair warning, the 1080ti DOES NOT support dx12. Some features are done via a backdoor software route instead of hardware. This is why games that USE those features(battlefield) had issues in dx12 that shouldn't be there!

You didnt tested hogwarts legacy which is notorious for consuming 18gb of ram even at 1080p resolution. I never got to test it either but i have watched a bunch of other youtubers and 16gb ram is prety low for that.

One thing to mention is that AMD is the go to choice if you want to run Linux. Nvidia has been adamant about keeping their drivers and other tech closed source so the only two options for getting Nvidia cards to run on Linux was to pray Nvidia releases somewhat decent drivers of their own or someone figures out from scratch open source drivers that kinda sorta work alright. No such issues with AMD. Their drivers are open source so people immediately start reading through their code and make compatibility patches. AMD runs better on Linux than Windows tbh.

I had 16gb. Dropped in 16 more, and it's probably come in handy for streaming, but I haven't noticed a big difference otherwise. When I made the upgrade I was just looking to "future proof" but that can be a fool's errand. We'll see how it is in a couple years, but by that time I'll probably be building a new system with 64gb, so ehhh

16gb used to be the future proofed. now its a minimum. so just get 32 gb pair, then get another 32gb pair for an upgrade

I like your take. But I have to wait for amd GPU's software to become como stable and reliable I have had a amd GPU but I had 2 years of pain with that GPU so I will be with Nvidea for a the next few years. PD: Go with amd cpu are the best but be carefull with the GPU's.

F no. Most it will run is one game don't even think about having browser tabs open or streaming. I can hit 32gb easily, that's why I upgraded to 64gb.

32gb kits have gotten really cheap, I really think that's the new minimum unless you're really strapped for cash.

This card is only designed for those slim factor desktops that adds some slight gaming to it but still not bad to be honest at least you can play games
